Gallow United 0 vs 7 Focus Ferrers Tigers U8s Blackwater & Dengie Spring League Crouch Division - RESULT FF TIGERS U8 EDGE CLOSER TO
LEAGUE TITLE
Gallow United 0 - 7 Focus Ferrers
Tigers U8s
William
Putt (2, 9, 40)
OG (4)
George Bass (14)
Harry Blenkarn (26)
Daniel Woolmer (40+4)
The Tigers played their last away game with confidence and at times
with style. Despite the score line Gallow United made the Tigers work hard for
the points. Jake Miall made some critical saves as well as the defence of
Mitchell Dean, Connor Unwin and Lukas Darby being on their toes all the way
through the game. As the score line reflects, the boys did their job and shut
down the Gallow forwards. Well done boys.
Out in midfield, there was the regular line up of Daniel Whitley, Daniel
Woolmer and William Putt. The boys had a field day seeing much of the ball
through the game. It only took William Putt 2 minutes to get on the sheet after
a sublime pass from Daniel Woolmer. Following an own goal, again William Putt
got his second after another great ball through from Daniel Woolmer. 3 - 0 up
and the Tigers looked in control. Time for change and Callum Abbott and Harry
Blenkarn stepped into Midfield and kept up the good work. Meanwhile George Bass
commanded up front and had some devilish runs in front of goal. George made it 4
- 0 on 14 minutes after Daniel Whitley played through a superb pass.
After the break Gallow stepped up a gear and came close to scoring on a few
occasions. Harry Blenkarn made it 5 - 0 on 26 minutes after another excellent
Tigers corner. The Gallow threat subsided when their defender unfortunately hurt
his arm and were down to 6 players for a while. Towards the end of the
game Daniel Woolmer, Mitchell Dean and William Putt came back on to enhance and
protect the lead. William made it a hatrick on 40 minutes when he stood the ball
up just outside the Gallow area and curled a wonder shot into the back of the
net. Deep into injury time Daniel Woolmer capped a fine performance with a shot
to make the final score 7 - 0.
One game to go, two important points earned today, the title is now within
reach. Go for it next Saturday when we're back on home turf at Elmwood. Good
luck boys you totally deserve it.
Man of the Match: "Deadly" Daniel Woolmer. Looked solid,
in control, worked some excellent corners and scored the final goal. Superb
Daniel.
